TRACK-U

In the  academic life, efficient transportation is crucial for students, teachers, and employees. However, traditional GPS based tracking systems often suffer from limitations such as high cost, signal interference, and dependence on satellite links. Track U is a revolutionary solution for college bus tracking without the need for a GPS tracker. In this article, we will examine how Track U uses cutting edge technology to provide accurate and reliable transportation that improves transportation for everyone involved in the school. Traffic is monitored using available technologies such as WiFi or Bluetooth signals. Instead of relying on GPS satellites, Track U places strategic signs along the bus route. The signals emitted by beacons can be detected by smartphones or devices with WiFi or Bluetooth features. By triangulating the signal, Track U can instantly determine the location of the bus, providing accurate tracking without the need for traditional GPS equipment. Instant Tracking: Track U provides students, faculty and staff with instant updates on school bus locations, allowing them to replan their trips efficiently. Route optimization: By analyzing data collected by beacons along the bus route, Track U can optimize the route based on demand, traffic and other factors to make transportation travel easier and more efficient. Cost Efficiency: Unlike GPS based systems that require expensive equipment and regular maintenance, Track U provides cost savings for colleges and universities by using existing systems. User friendly interface: Track U has a mobile app that allows users to easily track buses, receive notifications, and access other useful information about university transportation. Existing system

We discuss alternatives to GPS based tracking for college buses, and there are some new methods that schools are exploring or could use:

1. Beacon Based Tracking: Using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons placed along the bus route. Mobile devices carried by students, teachers or staff can detect beacons and send their IDs to a central server, allowing real time bus tracking. There is no need for GPS. Cellular Based Tracking: Use cellular network triangulation to determine the approximate location of the bus. This method uses the signal strength of nearby cell phones to estimate the bus's location, providing a crude but effective alternative to GPS. WiFi Based Tracking: Similar to beacon based tracking, WiFi hotspots installed on the bus or at the bus stop can be used to track the movement of the bus. Mobile devices automatically connect to WiFi networks as they pass, allowing location tracking without the need for GPS. Sensor Fusion Technology: Fuse data from multiple sensors (such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, and magnetometers) embedded in smartphones or automotive bus systems. By analyzing sensor data and using algorithms, the system is able to predict the bus's location and movement without relying solely on GPS. Crowdsourced data: Create a system where users can report bus locations and arrival times via mobile or web interface. This crowdsourced data can be aggregated and analyzed to provide real time tracking information to other users. It also has its own issues and limitations regarding accuracy. 





Proposed system



To solve the limitations  and problems caused by traditional GPS based school bus tracking, we propose a new method: Track U without a GPS tracker. This solution aims to modernize the university bus by using existing technology in a new way to provide accurate, reliable and accurate price tracking without the need for GPS hardware. In this proposal, we showcase the main points, features, and benefits of Track U without a GPS tracker, highlighting its potential to transform transportation for core students, faculty, and staff. .
